The Welsh Society of the Sun Coast  2010 Season

All the pertinent information is here on the web site in order to join the Society.  See the membership page of the web site.

January 2010

David Thomas will be bring his singing to our January meeting.  Be there at noon on January 19 to participate in what is becoming an annual tradition,  welcoming in the New Year with songs from Wales and beyond.  You won't want to miss Dave's entertaining style, and stories from Wales.

Plant Cymraeg is our Society’s attempt to perpetuate the Welsh Society experience. We hope to do this not in the next year, or 5 years or even 10 years from now. It is our hope that 20 years from now, when these children are adults, they might remember the pleasant memories of a little Welsh newsletter they received as a child, and prompt them to join a Welsh society in or near Pittsburgh, or Portland, or Buffalo or Boise.

We’ll be sending the children’s newsletter to children every month. Consider signing your children or grandchildren up for the newsletter. Your $10 gives children 9 newsletters each year. A simple coloring project, or fun research project about Wales or the Welsh. They also receive a membership in our Society. When they send in a picture or a story, we’ll send them a little Welsh gift.

It all adds up to good fun, and future members of Welsh Societies in future generations.
